I am so enjoying the longer days and warmer weather, the tulips and daffodils and singing birds.
The promise of spring fulfilled once again.
This week we were looking for Simple, Grain, Transportation, Stitch and Bubbles.
1. Simple
A single branch of a lipstick plant against an off-white wall . . . love the simplicity of this shot.
2. Grain
A trio of grains . . . brown basmati rice, flax seed and my favourite, popcorn.
3. Transportation
Glad I never had to ride one of these to school every day . . . just the occasional field trip.
5. Bubbles
My girl was happy to take a break from yard work to blow some bubbles for me.
Linking with Ashley at Ramblings & Photos . . .
lipstick plant? hmmm i have to look that one up :) i do love the simplicity of the photo though.
ReplyDeleteAwesome collection of images. I always enjoy seeing busses lined up : ) Also love your bubble shot. Wishing you a happy week.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots. Love transportation and that last one.
ReplyDeleteWoof!
ReplyDeleteBubbles make me tear but I love it.
And I never knew that there is lipstick plant!
Does it make the lips green?
I TOTALLY agree with you...the simplicity of your first shot is breathtaking. Great job!
ReplyDeleteLove your stitch. Wonderful set Andrea.
ReplyDeleteCute set! I really like the grain trio. There is something so pleasing about food in a natural, simple form. Love it. I also like your lipstick plant.
ReplyDeleteLovin all of these! Especially the first one! :)
ReplyDeleteLove your simple and your stitch shots. So creative! (I had a real hard time with stitch.) Love your set, as always!
ReplyDeleteLove the old fashioned sewing sign, great selection! x
ReplyDeleteJust lovely photos. Suzy x
ReplyDeleteOutstanding choices for this week's scavenger hunt.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots! Love the trio of grains! I love flaxseed meal!
ReplyDeleteI loved this post... so much that I relate to it is almost startling until I see the simplicity of connection and commonality. :) I too have a lipstick plant, popcorn is my favorite choice for snacking, I (unfortunately) had to ride a school bus to school all those years ago, the sign is similar to one in my mother's sewing room, and I keep a bottle of bubbles on my windowsill for moments of playful gratitude. I even tended the garden yesterday - I should have taken a cue from your girl! As always, Andrea, your photos are beautiful and inspiring. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteThese are all lovely! Your grain is very cool ;D
ReplyDeletesimple elegance; healthy eating;the rhythm of trasport life for schoolkids; how words can stitch up an owie; kids who never grow old at heart... lovely catches ...LOVE the first one especially!
ReplyDeleteLOVE that 1st shot!
ReplyDeleteI love the school bus shot best. There is a graininess about it that makes it look "sketched" and that is very nice, in my non-artsy opinion. I love that your daughter blew bubbles for you. My son, grandkids and I were at a park and some orthodox Jewish families were playing games and they were blowing bubbles, but I wasn't sure they would want me taking their pictures. They were all dressed in black and the men were wearing yamakas. It would have made quite a picture, but I was too fearful of making a cultural faux pas.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my place and giving me your much-appreciated welcome home.
Dawn
I love that sign. Very cool. But I think I like your simple shot best.
ReplyDeleteWonderful shots. Love them all. Thanks
ReplyDeleteWhat a great sign! I may have to recreate it for my craft room!
ReplyDeleteBeautifil Simple and I love the vintage Sign.
ReplyDeleteThanks for letting me know about the word verification
Great set:
ReplyDeleteGrain, Loved seeing the Trio of Grains, Flax seed was very interesting.
Stitch - That is a cool sign
Bubbles - Seems like the kids sure had fun with the bubbles prompt for most everyone.
Great set - really love your simple shot.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun sign to find! Love the simplicity and cleanness of the simple shot! Great composition on bubbles--nice way to take a break! Great grain shot!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is Stitch. I would love to have that sign for my sewing room.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my hunting.
I, too, love that Sewing sign --- especially since I am such a poor stitcher!
ReplyDeleteAnd nothing better than some time blowing bubbles. It didn't take much to keep me amused as a kid --- just a jar of bubble stuff!
I really love the simple shot...it's perfect!!
ReplyDeleteNice shots - love Grain!
