Last scavenger hunt of August. . . this time next week we are into September and back to school in these here parts. As well, I will have my first week at my new job under my belt. Starting a new job at 55 is no less stressful than it was in my younger years, but am trusting God's grace to be sufficient.
Let's get to it . . .
1. School
The colour of these black-eyed Susans remind me of the school buses that will be making their rounds after one more week of summer vacation.
2. Rule of Thirds
I attended a free concert in the park last weekend and came away with this shot . . .
it is one of my all-time favourites.
3. Side Profile
My daughter's papa at a family birthday barbecue.
4. Small
My sunflower heads are pretty small and tucked under some of the leafy green edges I found a little lady bug.
5. Motion
Two of the rides in motion at the Pacific National Exhibition. My enjoyment of them is strictly as a spectator/photographer.

Oh my, what a really great set Andrea - I'm loving that rule of thirds shot and that last one!!
ReplyDeleteExcellent rule of thirds. My favorite is your last shot. So pretty!
ReplyDeleteWow!!! Great collection this week! That guitar shot is just fabulous, love the entire composition and can see why it is a fav of yours. But that motion shot is my fav. So unique that you captured two rides in the same shot.
ReplyDeleteGreat Rule of Thirds photo...I can see why it's your favorite. The perspective on your Motion photo is unique and so interesting! Love it.
ReplyDeleteThese are so great! I just love motion!
ReplyDeleteOh my! Very cool motion shot!
ReplyDeleteLove that motion shot! I'm thinking that one is a tie with you Rule of Thirds!
ReplyDeleteOhhh.... love your motion shot! And small too.
ReplyDeleteGreat stuff this week
Wow, motion is phenomenal! Great shots!
ReplyDeleteGreat set! Love that last motion shot. Have a happy week.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots! I prefer to enjoy the rides as a spectator too! :)
ReplyDeleteSuper set this week.
ReplyDeleteLoved your Rule of Thirds shot.
Also the Motion shot of the carnival rides is pretty cool. I'm with you in that I'm more of an observer of rides rather then a participant.
Black-eyed susans are just so wonderful. We both used them this week. I love how you selected them to illustrate "school". I also like your side profile...it exudes intrigue in me.
ReplyDeleteThese are great! I love your "motion" shot!!
ReplyDeleteOh I like all of your images this week. The yellow flowers is a good analogy of school beginning...and your guitar shot is amazing. I can see why you like it so much. Love the rides, they are so fun, but I like to keep my two feet on the ground and just take pictures of the motion!!
ReplyDeleteI like to journey with you and was so pleased with a shot of Steve!
ReplyDeletelady bugs are true treasures to find!
Love those flowers! Such a great color! Very nice set!
ReplyDeleteThank you for all your blog visits while I've been cocooning. It is always so nice to have a touch from the outside :) Best wishes on your new job!
Great photos, Andrea. I love the one with the little ladybug hiding under a petal.
ReplyDeleteI head about the scavenger hunt. Have not tried it yet. Great post. Thanks for visiting.
ReplyDeletefun motion shot!! all your pics were fabulous!
ReplyDeleteAs always, I adore your artistic eye. Best of luck with the new job... may it be all of you want it to be and none of what you don't need (i.e., stress). ;)
