Scavenger Hunt Sunday Photo Challenge 2

Yay . . . it's reveal day at Ashley Sisk's Photo Challenge.  Want to join the fun? Click the button below to go to Ashley's site, Ramblings and Photos and get the low-down.

Here's what I came up with . . .

1. Landscape

Along the pathway to the duck pond in Hawthorne Rotary Park, the leaves are only just beginning to turn colour. I suppose that since we had such a late summer that fall is dragging its heels too.

2.  Colour Wheel - Complementary/Triadic

I love my wooden pear pepper mill and apple salt shaker.  Here they are perched on a shelf in my hallway along with a treasured little green jug. A vibrant example of complementary colours.

I am also including a couple of shots from our fall fair, the PNE, which were taken about a month ago.  They too fit this category so well that I wanted to include them.
 Complementary . . . Purple and Yellow
(Notice the bird perched in the bottom right corner)

Triadic . . . Purple, Green & Orange.
Just hanging around waiting for the "Cliffhanger" ride to start.  I think it's pretty cool that the "triadic" colours appear in a "triangular" shape in the sail.

3.  Black & White

These bottles sit on the window ledge in my bathroom with a couple more.
I love the way this turned out.

4. Food

One of my favourite meals . . . spring mix greens, red onion, cherry tomatoes, long English cucumber, walnuts and shaved asiago cheese with an olive oil and sundried tomato dressing.  Pomegranate and jar of navy beans in the background with my ears of corn S & P shakers.

5. Blank Space

I was out shopping with my daughter and we were stopped at a light when I saw this building and noticed the big blank space on the one side, so I whipped out the camera and took the shot.

And once inside the mall I noticed this large section of walkway to a side exit that I though also qualified as blank space. It was too hard to choose so this one gets posted too.

I love how this scavenger hunt challenges me to look at things differently, to play with alternate interpretations.  So stimulating on so many levels . . . improving photography skills, exercising the gray matter, engaging with fellow bloggers and giving and receiving constructive feedback.   Please stop by Ashley's to view the work of some truly amazing photographers.
The clues for next week's scavenger hunt are:
1.  Abstract
2.  Round
3.  Fire
4.  Seeing Faces in Strange/Unexpected Places
5.  Stars

  2. I loved these especially of the ornaments in the colourwheel and black and white. That shopping mall sure is a blank space but it's your food shot to me that is just so pretty - the colours and textures alone - never mind it I'm sure being so delicious aswell.

  12. These are just great...wonder why best buy didn't advertise on both sides of the building. And funny I featured red onion in my "food" photo this week too.

Looking forward to next week's photos.
