Scavenger Hunt Sunday Photo Challenge 3

Hurray, it's time for Scavenger Hunt Sunday and that means I get to show my stuff and see all the great submissions at Ashley Sisk's Photo Challenge.  Want to join the fun? Click the button below to go to Ashley's site, Ramblings and Photos and get all the details.

This weeks clues were Abstract, Circle, Fire, Seeing Faces in Strange/Unexpected Places and Star.
Okay, let's get on with it . . .
1.  Abstract

This patch of "Pixie-cup Lichen" found on rotting fence slats looks like 3-dimensional abstract art. Another plus to this photo challenge is that I learn something new everyday.  If it weren't for Google, this caption would read "Some interesting looking stuff that might be mold or fungus".

2.  Circle

The weight at the end of my dragonfly windchime.

3.  Fire

The throat of this gorgeous mandevilla looks like a flame of fire.

and another for fire . . .

4. Seeing Faces in Strange/Unexpected Places

This shot is from my archives . . . I was shooting at a local nature park and was aiming for the moss and lichen growing on the log.  I hadn't even seen the squirrel until I reviewed the shots, so it I was pleasantly surprised to see his furry little face.

5.  Star

This dandelion seed-head looks like a cluster of stars.

This is so much fun!  Don't forget to check out the great photography by an amazing community that link up at Ashley's site.

Clues for next week:

1.  Words
2. Under
3. Orange
4. Fly
5. Always Look on the Bright Side

  2. Dear Andrea Dawn,

My favorite is the first one. How amazing! I learned about cubism when I did the caption for my abstract picture this week.

    Just googlin' away,
