OK, here we go again with Scavenger Hunt Sunday. Always so much fun linking up with Ashley @ Ramblings & Photos . . . such a treat to see all the entries. I confess, I am the one who dreamed up these prompts this week and I still had to go to archives. Hope you all had fun!
1. Strike a Pose
My dear big sister struck this pensive pose while touring through Old Quebec City in August 2010. A day trip to Quebec City and the Plains of Abraham, the Notre Dame Basilica, St. Joseph's Oratory and Notre Dame des Neiges Cemetery, the largest cemetery in Canada . . . a genealogist's dream. We had so much fun . . . I sure saw a lot of Montreal in a few short days.
2. Footwear
These two shots were the inspiration for this prompt. My niece wears the red shoes at the christening of her two youngest and the godmother wears the flashy black silver studded platform stillettos.
3. Hobby
I have long been the family historian of my generation and can get lost for hours upon end chasing clues.
I have made a lot of connections with cousins near and far.
4. Shiny
These fixtures polish up so shiny . . . just like new . . . okay they sort of are new, just over a year.
5. Colour Me Green
This lovely little number hangs in my kitchen window . . . which obviously needs to be washed . . . but that will have to wait. I am not recovered enough to tackle inside windows never mind the outside.
Your hobby post really is lovely. I also love the little green flower you have hanging in your window. It is very pretty!
ReplyDeleteThat is a great hobby. I just hate those kind of heels for women. I hate wearing them, If I had to be dressed up I would so endure the pain those shoes would inflict upon me.
ReplyDeleteReally nice shots. I would really love to dive into my family history. What fun!
ReplyDeleteLoved both your footwear shots (the godmother was very brave!!!) and your last shot.
ReplyDeleteThe godmother is a PHD candidate AND a belly dancer. An interesting combination but bravery would be required for both.
DeleteLovely green flower and I love the red shoes.
ReplyDeleteHave fun with your family tree.
Ooohhh...I'd love to go to Quebec City; it's meant to be such a beautiful place! Loving your Hobby photo, and the Green one is so very pretty <3
ReplyDeleteWow, your family has exquisite taste in footwear. I really like your sisters pose and expression.
ReplyDeleteHas anyone ever mentioned that your sister looks like Martha Stewart? ;p
ReplyDeleteReally cool footwear!
I will have to tell her that.
DeleteWhen I was younger Andrea's son David thought I looked like then supermodel Cheryl Tiegs. Now that I have a more mature look I am often told that I look like Martha Stewart or Meryl Streep.
DeleteYou and my sister share a hobby! Love your green sun catcher too! Have a lovely week!
ReplyDeleteThey are all beautiful. I can never understand how people can actually walk in those heels. To me they are sitting-shoes only :-)
ReplyDeleteLove your taps. They do look new.
Great pictures. Shiny and green are striking. Thanks
ReplyDeleteNicely done - I really like your selfie.
ReplyDeleteOops, that would be my sister.
DeleteFootwear... the ladies look gorgeous!I was born with feet turned in and needed casts the first year of my life to do some correcting; needless to say I have run throughlife but alas with sprained ankles numberless and broken bones... I could only wear such shoes in my dreams... I admire anyone who can balance in them and who has such beautiful feet and ankles to do so! Me... it's crocks or earth shoes...and thanks to my Heavenly Father that I indeed can run.
ReplyDeleteYour hobby photo is lovely and inspires me to know more of my family tree...
Susan, my niece wore those same red shoes at her wedding. I have never been able to wear shoes like that either, in fact I can pretty much only wear flat running shoes these days. I do still have a few pairs of flat dress-up shoes but they don't come out very often. So thankful that you can run.
Deleteeveryone loves a sassy pair of red heels!
ReplyDeleteNice shots - love that fancy Footwear!
ReplyDeleteI need a pair of black pumps like that! NEED!!!!! :)

ReplyDeleteFamily Tree and Green are fabulous -- and those shoes! Studded heels... so awesome. Nice work!
ReplyDeleteI always love what you come up with to match the clues. Extra special this time to remember our wonderful trip to Quebec City and then to see my daughter and son-in-laws lovely shoes. Nobody commented on Ian's shoes so I will. His black shoes coordinate well with the her red shoes.
