SHS Photo Challenge 14

Goody-goody gumdrops, as my Mama used to say.  That meant she was really excited about something.  I am excited to check out all the creative interpretations to match this weeks prompts . . . Stacked Up, Winter Wonderland, Sweet, Hole and Frozen.   Linking with Ashley Sisk at Ramblings & Photos; hop on over if you'd like to play along.

1.  Stacked Up
Inside my daughter's cupboard.

2.  Winter Wonderland
Where I live we rarely get snow, but woke up this morning to about 4 inches of the white stuff.  The little clumps of snow on this lantern plant look so pretty and the blanket of snow makes a perfect backdrop.  I am so enjoying Windows 7 on my new computer and the photo-editing tools they have included.  Had lots of fun playing with this one.

3.  Sweet
Found in my girl's treat drawer . . . snapped it and put it right back.   Really, I did!

4.  Hole
The hole in the ceiling that leads to the skylight.

5.  Frozen
So nice of the weather to co-operate and let me get a frozen shot.

Prompts for the next hunt are:
1.  Sunset
2.  Black & White
3.  A Day in My Life
4.  Four
5. Colourful

  17. Ah, Andrea Dawn. These are all so lovely because they tell me more about you and where you live. I am surprised you hardly ever get snow. I thought this would be a snap (no pun intended) for you. Don't you just love the LED's? So much beauty at so little cost!

I see you just went to my pics 5 minutes ago. I want to see what you thought. I wish I knew how to put a running list of where I go on my blog, not as technically saavy as you.

    Love you,
    Dawn

  18. Thank you for the comment regarding my macro shots on SHS. The frozen shot with the golf ball in the bird bath was a fluke. That is what happens when you have your white balance set for tungsten from a previous night of shooting and forget to reset it the next day. Good selection here for you too but that snow on the lantern plant is a winner. Having the snow as a backdrop as you said, makes it.

  26. Great shots, Andrea. Love the "frozen" string of lights. We have NO snow here and I would like just one nice one. It's easy to enjoy snow here since it never lasts too long, does it?

  27. I love the contrast of the snow on the lantern plant...so pretty.
